You’ll start with a boat trip through Muthurajawela wetlands, a bird sanctuary near Colombo where mangroves and aquatic plants create a natural haven for wildlife. From there, the journey moves inland to Sigiriya Rock and Ritigala Mountain before heading to the Knuckles Mountain Range.

The Knuckles area is a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its unique biodiversity and scenic mountain trails. You’ll spend time hiking through cloud forests and exploring the natural beauty of this protected region. The tour also includes a visit to a Vedda community in Badulla, where you’ll learn about the indigenous people who have lived in Sri Lanka’s forests for thousands of years. Itinerary

Day 01 : Arriving in Negombo

Arrive at Colombo Airport and transfer to your hotel in Negombo.
In the evening, take a Muthurajawela Dutch Canal boat trip.
The area was once a huge paddy cultivation that was converted into marshes comprising sedge and grasses, and it now has a Bird Sanctuary.
Negombo Lagoon is covered by mangroves and aquatic plants.

Day 02: Dambulla

Day 03: Knuckles Mountain

Day 04: Badulla

Day 05: Ella

Go out in the early morning at 5:00 am with breakfast.
